The MR2 single action, direct drive reel is based on the trusted MR2 design. The MR2 is a compact large arbor mooching reel that is tough enough to last a lifetime.

Like all of Islander's mooching reels, the MR2 is built for harsh saltwater conditions. From its fully anodized frame, spool and smaller components to the hefty brass clutch, all of the components are machined from materials that will last in a saltwater environment. We're not kidding when we say this reel is built to endure the elements.

• Free-spool/Drag Lever - The free-spool lever allows the user to completely
   disengage the drag

• Delrin® Handles - Every MR2 LA comes with two contoured Delrin® handles.
   Delrin® is a light, wear-resistant engineering plastic that can withstand    
   almost any environment

• Braided Dragknob - The spool-side braided dragknob is easily accessible and
   buttery smooth for infinite adjustments

• Right Hand Only - Because of the free-spool design, the MR2 cannot be
   configured for left hand retrieve
